Students from the schools which are recognised by the French national education system have priority. However, the students from those schools in Hanoi must complete the cycle started in the school in which they are registered, before being able to apply for LFAY.<\/li>\n<li>Students of Vietnamese nationality or non-Vietnamese nationals who already have a brother or sister at<span> <\/span><span class=\"gl_mot\">LFAY<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>A student whose parent is a former student of<span> <\/span><span class=\"gl_mot\">LFAY<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Other students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><strong>Late registration requests<\/strong>, even for French children, can only be processed if places are available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"spip\">Entry requirements<\/h2>\n<p>Entry in PS :<br class=\"autobr\" \/>Enrolment in the kindergarten reception class is open for :<\/p>\n<ul class=\"spip\">\n<li>Petite Section (PS): children born in 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Entry to higher classes:<br class=\"autobr\" \/>Any application for enrolment from a pupil who does not attend school or who comes from a school not recognised by the French national education system will systematically be the subject of an in-depth study; if the application is accepted, an entrance test will be requested from Grande section (GS), if places are still available.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"spip\">Entrance test procedures<\/h2>\n<p>The week of\u00a0 June 22 2026 for students living in Hanoi and the last week of August 2026 (or early September) for students from abroad. Families will be informed of the test date by email.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"spip\">\n<li>Entry to GS and CP: French proficiency test (listening and speaking).<\/li>\n<li>Entry to classes from CE1 to CM2: tests in French (reading, written production, spelling, conjugation) and maths (numeracy, arithmetic, problem solving, geometry).<\/li>\n<li>Entry to secondary school: French test (written and oral skills), maths test, English test and interview in French if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The results of the test and the admission decision are final.
